Acquisition Pricing Analyst

The credit card industry remains highly competitive and one of the fastest moving sectors in Financial Services, and this role will play an important part in ensuring the success for LBG within this market. The role is in Credit Card Acquisition, responsible for acquiring over 1 million new accounts each year, within the Pricing and Analytics team.

The successful applicant must be passionate about the use of analytics and data to drive decisions and value throughout the business.

Skills required include:
- Excellent conceptual and logical thinking with the ability to take a high level objective and define the analysis that will best meet the requirements
- Good data mining skills - able to extract and manipulate data using SAS, Teradata or similar software
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent ability to draw insights from complex analytics, looking at data in a granular manner and thinking from a customer perspective
- Familiarity with segmentation techniques and how to design and evaluate test and learn programmes
- Translating insight into commercial recommendations, and being able to communicate these effectively to senior stakeholders via reports and presentations
- Several years experience of credit card or similar markets within a numerate discipline (marketing or risk)
- Knowledge of using account level NPV models to make, understand and improve profitability for campaigns
- Highly motivated and self driven
