An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated L&D Specialist with strong relationship management & communication skills to work within the Wholesale Markets, Treasury and Trading HR team.
Reporting to the Senior L&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing L&D strategies to support business plans, working with line management to translate business needs into a clear L&D agenda.
You will work proactively and directly with the business and be at the forefront of supporting them with sourcing and/or designing and delivering approriate bespoke solutions to meet the business needs.
This exciting role would suit someone who has the drive and interest to learn about our financial markets businesses and who is seeking to develop their existing L&D experience in a demanding, complex and diverse environment.
Accountabilities:
- To establish, develop and maintain consulting/partnering relationships with HR Business partners, Business Heads/Business Leaders, by providing L&D support to meet business objectives.
• Working with the Business, identify organisational learning/leadership capability needs and priorities for colleagues signposting appropriate LBG solutions and make recommendations to influence and shape the Divisional L&D Strategy
• To understand and anticipate business issues, working collaboratively with HRBPs and Centre's of Excellence to meet business objectives
• To conduct 1-1 development discussions with key talent
- Able to undertake detailed, Divisionally informed analysis of L&D drivers and needs at business area level.
• To design, deliver or facilitate, for business unit stakeholders courses of an advanced or technical nature/ bespoke solutions tailored to the needs of the business/ team development/business specific events ensuring that robust return on investment processes are in place.
• To undertake systematic training needs analysis to understand and anticipate development needs
• Where appropriate, to lead, coach and develop a team of consultants to identify development needs and source or deliver a consistent blend of business focussed solutions
• To source and advise on appropriate development solutions, ensuring consistency by utilising internal (Learning @LBG) solutions as a preferred supplier and ensuring procurement guidelines and best practice supplier management techniques are used when engaging external suppliers.
• To evaluate the effectiveness of L&D solutions
- To lead manage and deliver individual projects
- Brings credible industry and external awareness through academic/professional L&D knowledge to design and delivery of interventions
- To provide, analyse and make recommendations for actions based on L&D MI and issue to HRBP’s in a way that helps inform strategy and evaluate against best in class benchmarks
Individual required to:

*Develop themselves as a subject matter expert in identifying and applying the right solution, at the right time at the right cost to meet the buiness requirement.
*Develop good working relationships with HR Partners & Business Stakeholders to deliver bespoke development solutions to meet business/stakeholder/individual needs

*Have crediblity with their audience in terms of their learning & development knowledge and in their commitment to learning
*Be self motivated, comfortable working on their own and driving activities to the required conclusions
